Permaculture Design
For schools
Outdoor environments offer excellent but often underutilised learning opportunities for students. 'Learnscapes' are designed with multiple learning outcomes in mind and may include:
- The design of themed gardens linked with the curriculum Eg. bush tucker gardens, Japanese gardens
- The creation of convivial areas, through seating and planting
- Increasing local biodiversity through the planting of indigenous species
- Obtaining a yield through the growing of food gardens, linked with a cooking program
For homes
The basic principles of Permaculture can make a difference to your house and garden by creating a much more efficient system with a smaller ecological footprint. Through utilising the natural energies that enter your site and placing things in the right place, you can improve the overall quality of your home, making it a better place to live. Our design services include:
- Consultation and advisory meetings
- Concept designs

Concept design for Crystal Brook Kindergarten
The design process involved meetings with stakeholder representatives and a site walk. A vision of how the grounds could be designed was developed, along with a needs analysis of the community that use the grounds. Principles of Permaculture design and 'Learnscaping' were employed, to maximise the resources available and create a stimulating learning environment.
